Welcome to The Cake Curator. These terms apply when you place an order through our website. We’ve tried to keep them clear and straightforward.
About The Cake Curator
The Cake Curator creates curated cake-decorating boxes containing a selection of edible decorations, decorating products, tools and finishing touches chosen around the information you give us.

Your curation
Part of the Cake Curator experience is that the exact contents of your box are a surprise.
When ordering, you may tell us things such as the type of cake you are making, your occasion, preferred colours and overall theme or feel. We use this information as inspiration to create a coordinated selection from the products available to us.
Examples and photographs on our website and social media illustrate the type of curation you may receive, but they do not represent the exact contents of every box.
Themes and requests
We interpret your chosen theme rather than reproducing an exact design.
Requests referring to particular characters, brands, films, games or other licensed themes may therefore be interpreted through colours, shapes, atmosphere and general style rather than by supplying branded products or exact copies.
We cannot guarantee that every individual request or suggestion will be included.
Substitutions
Because The Cake Curator boxes are individually curated and stock changes from time to time, particular products, colours or designs may become unavailable.
Where necessary, we may substitute an item with another item that we consider reasonably comparable in purpose, style or value, while keeping the overall curation as close as reasonably possible to your request.
Product colours
We make every reasonable effort to represent colours accurately. However, colours may look slightly different on different screens and individual products may vary slightly between batches.
Ingredients and allergens
Some of The Cake Curator boxes contain edible products.
Please read the manufacturer's packaging and the information provided on our Ingredients & Allergens page before using or consuming any edible product.
If you or the person who will eat the finished cake has an allergy, intolerance or other dietary requirement, please check the relevant product information carefully before use.
Using the products
Please follow any manufacturer's instructions supplied with products in your box.
A Decorating Box from The Cake Curator may contain both edible and non-edible cake-decorating products. Not every item supplied for cake decorating is intended to be eaten, so please check the packaging or accompanying information before use.
Children should be appropriately supervised when using decorating tools or small items.
Prices and payment
The price shown when you place your order is the price you will pay, together with any delivery charge shown at checkout.
Payment is taken through the payment methods available on our website.
Your order is accepted when we send you confirmation that we have accepted it.
Changes and cancellations
If you need to change or cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible.
Your statutory cancellation and return rights are explained on our Delivery & Returns page and nothing in these terms affects your rights under UK consumer law.
Delivery, damaged items and returns
Please see our Delivery & Returns page for delivery times, postage, cancellations, damaged parcels and returns.
If something arrives damaged, faulty or substantially different from what was ordered, please contact us at cakecuratorboxes@gmail.com and we will put it right in accordance with your legal rights.
Filming your curation
Some orders placed with The Cake Curator may be selected for filming or photography as part of our packing and curation content.
We will not intentionally show your name, address, contact details, order number or other information that identifies you.
The contents, theme and packing of a curation may appear on the Cake Curator website or social-media channels.
If you'd prefer your curation not to be filmed, just let us know when you order.
Intellectual property
The Cake Curator name, branding, website content, photographs, videos, graphics, recipe-card designs and other original materials belong to Cake Curator or their respective rights holders.
They may not be copied, reproduced or used commercially without permission.
If something goes wrong
If you have a problem with an order, please contact us first at cakecuratorboxes@gmail.com. We want to resolve problems fairly and promptly.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. The terms that apply to your purchase will be those published on our website when you place your order.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Nothing in this section affects any mandatory rights you may have as a consumer elsewhere in the UK.
